I couldn't get myself out of bed this morning.  I knew I had to sort out the bills.  They've been mounting up lately and I've now got a huge pile of paperwork to sort out.  I guess I should have looked at them as they arrived, but T has been ill for the past few days (stomach upset) and so I haven't had time to look at doing anything other than caring for him, and doing all the other household things as usual.  Bev came round the other day and asked if we all want to go to Thorpe Park on Saturday - I hope T will be well enough in time, but I haven't been able to check our finances to see whether or not I can afford to take him.  So, I really need to sort out these bills.

By lunchtime, I had only managed to work through the credit card statements, so I've quickly pulled out the bank statements from the middle of the pile.  I know roughly how much money I pay out on bills each month, so I'll sit and look through the statements while T is nodding off tonight to see how much is going to be left over at the end of August.  So far, it looks as though we should be able to go.

On a different note, I have at last managed to clean the kitchen right the way through.  It feels so good to be able to finish de-cluttering one entire room so that I can clean it properly.  I don't know if it will stay that way, but I'm just taking one step at a time right now.

Random entry from Home Education Diaries: 2nd February 2002 by JudyR

I got another letter from the LEA yesterday. I thought we wouldn't hear from them again for at least a few months, but they've asked for me to provide proof that Lisa is being educated according to her A, A and A.  I've written a letter to send back, simply saying they...

Random Recommendation from Achievements Diaries: 5th July 2002 by SpaceGirl

Woo Hoo!  I managed to swim to the other side of the pool without stopping once!  I'm determined to go to the watersports camp, and Dad says his friend has offered to teach me to scuba when I am a little older.  I can't believe all this is happening...
